Pregnancy Complications (Service-Related) VA Disability Rating is rated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs under DC 7629 of 38 C.F.R. § 4.116 across 3 severity tiers (50% -- Severe symptoms not controlled by treatment / 30% -- Symptoms requiring continuous treatment / 10% -- Mild symptoms). Service connection requires (1) a current diagnosis, (2) an in-service event, injury, or exposure, and (3) a medical nexus opinion linking the two under 38 C.F.R. § 3.303.
OVERVIEW
Residuals from pregnancy complications during active duty may be service-connected. Includes pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and surgical scarring. Each residual rated separately.
RATING CRITERIA (3 LEVELS)
50% -- Severe symptoms not controlled by treatment
Symptoms not controlled by treatment with significant health impairment.
30% -- Symptoms requiring continuous treatment
Requiring continuous treatment.
10% -- Mild symptoms
Symptoms requiring intermittent treatment.
