The VA has programs specifically for caregivers.
Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC)
Monthly stipend, access to CHAMPVA health insurance, mental health counseling, respite care, and travel reimbursement. For caregivers of veterans with serious service-connected injuries.
VA Caregiver Support →Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS)
Education and training, peer support, online resources, and the Caregiver Support Line. Available to caregivers of veterans from all eras.
