How secondary service connection works
Under § 3.310, a condition caused or made worse by a service-connected disability is itself service-connected. You need three things: a current diagnosis, a service-connected primary condition, and a doctor's opinion linking the two.
Connection strength: "Strong" means VA frequently grants this without pushback. "Moderate" means you'll likely need a solid medical opinion. "Weak" means VA often denies without strong evidence.
