Mustard Gas / Lewisite Exposure VA Disability Rating

OVERVIEW
Full-body exposure to mustard gas or Lewisite during military testing provides presumptive service connection for chronic conjunctivitis, keratitis, corneal opacities, scar formation, nasopharyngeal/laryngeal cancer, squamous cell carcinoma of the skin, chronic laryngitis, bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, and COPD.

Toxic exposure is not itself rated. Each resulting condition is rated under its own diagnostic code. The exposure provides the nexus for presumptive service connection.
