Ventricular Arrhythmia VA Disability Rating

DC 7011 | 38 C.F.R. § 4.104 | M21-1, Part IV.ii.6
OVERVIEW
Sustained ventricular arrhythmia (DC 7011) rates from 10-100% based on workload capacity. If ICD/pacemaker implanted, rated 100% for 2 months post-surgery, then on residuals. Minimum 10% with ICD in place.
RATING CRITERIA (4 LEVELS)
100% -- Chronic CHF or workload 3 METs or less
Documented CHF or workload of 3 METs or less with dyspnea, fatigue, angina, dizziness, or syncope.
60% -- Workload 3-5 METs or acute CHF in past year
More than one episode of acute CHF in past year, or workload of 3-5 METs.
30% -- Workload 5-7 METs
Workload of greater than 5 but not greater than 7 METs.
10% -- Workload 7-10 METs
Workload greater than 7 but not greater than 10 METs with continuous medication.

1.Bring all relevant medical records and a written list of symptoms.
2.Report your worst days, not your best. The VA rates based on overall impairment.
3.Document how the condition affects daily activities, work, and relationships.
4.Mention all medications and their side effects.
5.Bring buddy statements from people who observe your symptoms.
